Want Heart.Wants.Books. to read and review your book?

First, we love reading books and we’re interested in learning more about yours.  We have read ARCs (Advance Review Copies), participated in launch teams, and supported debut authors.  Our goals is to inspire readers, and part of that is helping readers find good, fun books and supporting the writers of those books.  

If we’re going to read and discuss a book, the minimum requirements for the book are:

• Good writing, 
• Solid editing (both copy and plot continuity), 
• Self-awareness (if your book is literary fiction, fabulous, if it’s a romance novel, glorious – whatever a book is, it has to own it with confidence), and 
• Characters to root for (no, every fiction book doesn’t need this, but as readers, we need this) or 
• A sense of connectedness to the topic (nonfiction).

As we both prefer ebooks, we require two ebooks given or loaned to us in order for us to do a proper buddy read review.  As a rule, we do not read and review dead tree (print) books. 

If we enjoy your book, we’ll talk about it on Heart Wants Books, rate and review it on Goodreads, and Amazon, and sing its and your praises very publically.  If we don’t enjoy your book, we’ll start by having a conversation with you about our thoughts and go from there together. Writing a book is a challenging feat and we have so much respect for all authors, whether or not their book was for us.
