Welcome to 2023 darling readers! If you’re looking for our goals, please sign up to get our posts in your inbox (just to the right), as those details (as well as the Virtual Book Club details) aren’t quite ready for publication yet but will be later this month as a bonus Monday post.
What is ready for publication is your guide to Jane in January 2023! That’s right, as is our habit since weekly reviews started in January 2020, we’ll be reading one title featuring a literary Jane, and then some retellings. This year, we have selected Jane Austen’s Emma. Is our literary Jane Miss Jane Austen or Miss Jane Fairfax? Only time, and our official review on Thursday, will tell. We hope you enjoy our reviews of this classic and the retellings we’ve selected for this adventure. If you are going to join us on this adventure, Ashley, the first-time Emma reader, wants to remind those readers who are NOT big fans or habitual readers of novels written in a different age to JUST KEEP GOING. You’ll get to that 20% mark and want to quit, don’t do it. Keep Going. It’s going to get better, but you’ll be at that 35% before your time investment starts to pay off. Happy reading!
